Whilst the economy is sloping further and further now is a perfect time to go out there and spend a little on you. Great ways to indulge for the New Year is get down to a local spa and enjoy a day of complete relaxation. Surprisingly, out of the credit crunch the sale of makeup and skincare products has risen incredibly as people are less inclined to go to health clinics due to the credit crisis. But, if you ask me it is a great chance to help out society and loosen your purse strings a little. The best way to get out of a credit crisis is to encourage public spend but that is difficult when so many people are reluctant to get out there and flash some cash.
Analysts have indicated that sales on beauty and skincare products were up almost 23% in the UK alone this year which is a staggering figure. Personally, since I have heard that the credit crunch has been around I have never seen so many people shopping and looking for bargains. I find it hard to believe that so many shops are struggling during a time like this because it appears as though so many people are out there purchasing items. Skincare products are normally high on Christmas lists and I am not surprised that figures have been really positive this year. With Valentine’s creeping up it would be a great time to go and get your loved one something a little extra special. Maybe book them a day in a luxury Spa or maybe book a short holiday to a romantic city? It is well known that when financial times are hard people will automatically stop spending out on luxuries such as cars and houses. Instead people treat themselves to smaller amenities like lipstick, facial wash, mascara and perfume. It’s still buying yourself something but for much less money. People substitute large extravagancies for small and more personal luxuries and cosmetic companies across UK and Europe have benefited enormously off of this.
